Flower pollen was the culprit, and once again I did not have a contact lens case or eye drops with me. The stinging continued, and then the sensation of ground glass in my eyes was upon me. I could not get sufficient relief, even by placing towels soaked in cold water on my eyes.

Someone had to take me home, and I missed the remainder of the convention. I have not worn contacts since that day. Would air filters have helped? In the first instance, I do not know, because I do not understand whether the types of allergeons in the perfume department at Harrod’s .
