I was driving to Florida over my son’s 2009 Spring Break, and I stopped in a Tennessee gas station to let my son used the restroom. While he was going, I decided to take a little walk. As I left the station, I noticed my nose was a little irritated and my eyes were watering. Thinking it was just pollutants from the station, I kept walking.

My airborne allergen story: a trip to grandmother’s house
One day, I went over to my grandmother’s house to surprise her. She was really excited to see me, but she had not cleaned that day. After she made some fresh coffee for us to enjoy together, she began to rapidly clean the living room that we were sitting in.

Summer of hell and drowsiness
I first experienced hay-fever when I was 17 years old and on my way to the chemist where I worked. My eyes and nose started streaming and my asthma began to play up. I had no idea what was going on. Yes I have severe allergies to airborne allergeons. Once my maid servant had not come and some guests were coming to my place that day, so I had to do the entire dusting by myself. This was my first severe allergy attack and it was so severe that I could not realize for a second what was happening inside. After that I have become very careful and keep myself away from dust as much as possible since the consequences are dangerous and even life threatening. Since I had not used an air purifier I have no idea as to how it might have helped me.

When I was about sixteen years old I was in class and our science teacher decided to take us outside for our lesson because it was our first sunny day in Seattle in quite sometime. Now, before this day I was certain I wasn’t allergic to anything. I figured I would have had some sort of reaction to something by now. While laying in the grass I started itching my wrists and arms. At first I didn’t really notice it. Until a friend of mine pointed out the little red bumps I had been itching. It looked as if they were slowly growing all the way up my arm to my shoulders! I tried to ignore it, but they soon spread to my chest. I was officially freaked out. Immedaitely, I got up go to the nurse for some sort of medical attention. If not that, maybe an answer as to what’s happening! On the walk there, it got extremely hard to breathe. My thought was asthma (which I don’t have), or some sort of reaction. After talking to the nurse not much more then five minutes later I was being rushed to the hospital. Apparently, I’m allergic to pollen. I don’t think an air purifier could help me much. Unless they create air filters that are for outside!
